Soils and Hydrologic Evaluation

Based on the requirements established by the respective state and local jurisdictions, NCS conducts the necessary detailed soils evaluation and hydrologic studies needed for wastewater treatment and dispersal system design and permitting.  This evaluation typically includes:

• Soil logs and descriptions

• Soil permeability testing and infiltrameter testing

• Lateral flow analysis/hydraulic conductivity testing

• Groundwater mounding analysis

• Nitrogen balance

• Groundwater monitoring wells and seasonal water table mapping

• Aquifer characteristics and groundwater quality

• Storage requirements

• Soil loading rates
